FAA Waivers, Membership and MORE!
Hello everyone!
FAA Waiver and Launches!
We now have our FAA waivers complete from now until Jan. The beginning of December, we will have to do the procedure again for the next year, but it should be significantly easier since we know what we are doing now! Launches are currently scheduled for the 2nd Saturday each month. Remember schedule can change due to the FAA or the local Airspace manager.

July Launch
Launch Information.
Hey everyone, we will be launching this weekend. While we will be normally launching on the second sat of the month, this week the 412 Test Wing is flying, so our launch will actually be Sunday. Also due to the amount of time it takes to get a waiver (30 days) from the FAA, we did not have enough time to get it, which means this launch will be limited to class I rockets. (A-F and some G motors) If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
Find our launch site information here http://www.skarclub.org/launch-information/
Head out on E 58 to Claymine rd exit. Head north on Claymine until the road is no longer paved. From there take the Right fork it is only about another mile. Take the path on the left, you should see cars out there and I will try to have a sign up.
Time will be from about 08:30, and we have until 1600, though I suspect we will probably be done closer to 1300, depending on how many people come out.
I will have a launch system and a couple launch rods. Bring your own rockets and motors and drinks!!
Great times at Branch Elementary!
Kevin and I had a great time volunteering with the 4th, 5th and 6th graders at Branch Elementary. The kids did an excellent job in building their Estes Big Daddy rockets, which we launched on D12-3’s. Each rocket was launched twice, with minimal failures. Check out some pictures and the article from Edwards AFB paper website!
