Nominations for Elections Due

Submit your nomination for Club Officer to info@skarclub.org. Please include your name, and the position you wish to nominate yourself for. Available positions and descriptions are as follows:
- President
The President is responsible for the overall leadership and administration of the club. The President’s tasks include but are not limited to:- Filing appropriate paperwork with the FAA to ensure waivers for launch on an annual basis
- Updating the Letter of Agreement with the Air Force airspace mangers
- Requesting permission to launch from the local airspace
- Informing FAA of launch activities the morning of launch
- Ensuring Club equipment is stored safely, maintained, and available for club use at launches
- Overseeing the scheduling of group activities
- Serves as a member of all formed standing committees
- Oversees other club operations as needed
- Mediates issues between club members
- Serve on special committees for Code of Honor violation petitions
- Other duties as needed
- Vice President
The Vice President is responsible for assisting the President in operations, and performing the duties of the President in his/her absence. Vice President duties are as directed by the President on an as needed basis. - Secretary/Treasurer
The Secretary/Treasurer is responsible for creating and maintaining the records of the club, both business and financial. The Secretary/Treasurer duties include but are not limited to:- Maintaining a log of the club revolving inventory (such as motors and other items for sale)
- Maintain an accurate account of club funds
- Make purchases as directed by the Board
- Make purchases in accordance with pre-approved regular purchases
- Track and collect member dues
- Record business meeting minutes
- Other duties as needed
- Senior Advisor(s)
The Senior Advisor is responsible for assisting in the running of committees, and representing the club in immediate club matters. Duties required include but are not limited to:- Leading standing committees
- Participating in special committees
- Leading designated group activities and special projects
- Assisting in educational outreach opportunities
- Other duties as needed.
