The Southern Kern Aeronautics and Rocketry Club will be hosting an Introduction to Rocketry Class with Workshop on Saturday, July 22nd from 2:30pm to 5:30pm

Registration cost: $5.00 online, $6.00 at the door. Space limited.

The class will be roughly 30-45 minutes and will discuss at a basic level the different aspects of ameteury model rocketry to include parts of a rocket, basic model rocket concepts, history, local laws, national organizations and certifications. The course will also include a skill level 1 viking rocket kit and a 2.5 hour workshop in order to build the kit. Those who participate will be welcomed to launch their constructed rocket with the club at any one launch event for the remained of the year without need of membership!

This course is designed for ages 14 and up. Younger participants may join so long as a parent or guardian are with them during the class and workshop. Keep in mind that the 30 minute class may be hard for Children under the age of 12 to follow along and maintain interest.
